Our programmes use collections, creativity and culture as a tool for social equality. 

 

Everything is developed in collaboration with partners and residents in response to local need. Our aim is to create a sustainable future for the Hall by supporting a sustainable future for the communities in which it sits.

HEALTH & WELLBEING

Supporting people to manage their own health through culture and creativity, in partnership with primary care provider Better Health MCR.

FAMILIES

How we are using artist-led creative play to support pre-school children and their families, in partnership with Sure Start and university researchers.

YOUNG PEOPLE & SCHOOLS

Supporting local youth services and making Platt Hall a creative safe space for young people in our neighbourhood.

ADULTS

Adult programmes at Platt Hall bring local people together through creativity, to promote healthy lives, social connection, mutual understanding and shared belonging.

776 PIECES OF CLOTH

Meet the team of six creatives that is collaborating with museum staff to rehouse and document 776 West African textiles at Platt Hall.

PATTERNS OF LIFE

A collaborative volunteer project to research, digitise and rehouse Platt Hall’s historic study collection of South Asian textiles and domestic objects.
