ADULTS

Taking care of the neighborhood one step at time

In the foreground, two middle-aged women are in the act of embroidering. One is wearing a burgundy headscarf, and the other one has her hair tied up in a bun.

We believe that we are all creative in some way in our everyday lives from deciding what clothes we wear, caring for plants, crafting and cooking. Being creative in a shared space is good for our individual and collective wellbeing.

Driven by the needs of the neighbourhood, and working in partnership, we use the resources of the beautiful Hall building, garden and the historic collection to create ways in which adults can make, garden, talk, learn and just be together. Adult programmes include volunteering in the garden, Make Space open studio and making space and other volunteering opportunities.

At the moment most of our adult programmes are only open to residents who live locally as we continue to develop the Hall into a collective space to champion and celebrate everyday creativity.
