MAKE SPACE

Make Space is a regular session at Platt Hall for adults from the local community to come together and try out a range of creative activities in a friendly environment.

EVERY WEDNESDAY, 30 APRIL - 25 JUNE 2025

10AM-4PM

It’s all free, no need to book, turn up and ring the doorbell by the green front door.

Hot drinks, comfy chairs and accessible toilet facilities are available.

Any questions - phone the Hall on 0161 245 7245

Each session offers artist-led activities, alongside the materials and space to pursue your own interests and projects. We’ve done origami, cyanotype printmaking, weaving, and lino-print among other things. We have sewing machines, watercolours, pencils, paper, collage materials, embroidery and knitting equipment. If you just need a bit of space for your own creative project, then bring it along too, to work on at the Hall (as long as it isn’t too big and messy!).

These sessions provide people with a space to meet and connect with other community members, feel inspired and get comfortable inside the tranquil spaces of the Hall. It’s an invitation to come and feel at home here.

Volunteers needed: Could you help out with Make Space? We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to support the sessions, help set up the studio and engage the participants in the activities and conversation. We also need support with keeping the tea and coffee flowing! More details here: Make Space volunteer
