About the event
Platt Hall is contributing to GM Walking Festival 2026 with a walking and wheeling route through Platt Fields Park.
The walk from Platt Hall celebrates the many benefits of walking and wheeling as well as shares some of the historic items in the Hall’s collections that explore the history of the park and its ongoing importance to local communities.
Taking part in the GM Walking Festival reflects the wider work that is undertaken at Platt Hall. In collaboration with local partners, such as Better Health MCR, Sure Start and Friends of Platt Fields Platt Hall delivers a wide range of activity that harnesses creativity and the collections as a tool for health – whether that’s a walk, gardening, creating your own artworks or free play sessions for under 5s.
